27 x advanced CelAction2D character rigs of the main cast members
WHAT WE DID
Studio43 had the great pleasure of creating the advanced CelAction2D character rigs for Sixteen South's latest animated series "Claude". Based on the lovely books by Alex T. Smith and now showing on Disney Junior.
HOW WE WORK
We were given model sheets for each of the 27 characters along with detailed verbal briefs on how the directors envisaged them moving and acting through out the series. This would take into account what they wanted to be able to do achieve with each character rig refering to storyboards and known story lines that might be problematic.
FUN FACT
One of the greatest challenges that we faced with this project was the wide variety of character designs and proportions, along with the detailed textures that Alex liked to use in them. This meant that every character threw up there own very unique rigging challenges, with the end result being a beautiful truly bespoke cast of character rigs.
